Development of Life Skills

Amani Care Services, registered with NDIS, assist participants in the development of life skills. This service fosters personal growth, promotes independence, and expands opportunities for community engagement. Participants, wiith the assistance of Amani Care Services, have the opportunity acquire a range of new skills. Types of skils include using public transport, engaging with the community, and managing everyday tasks – inluding grocery shopping and making meals.

We’re based in Pakenham and provide our services not only to the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne but also to the South Gippsland, Baw Baw, Wellington and Latrobe City Shires. This encompasses towns such as Leongatha, Warragul, Traralgon, Morwell, Mirboo North and Sale.


You know we will be there when you need us with our 24/7 support. Our experienced support staff provide assistance with the development of life skills, where the individual’s needs are at the core of all we do.

Some of the development of life skills we provide assistance with include:

  • Personal hygiene – including showering, dressing and grooming
  • Plannning and preparation of meals – including grocery shopping
  • Travel training – including how to use public transport appointments
  • Household management – eg cleaning
  • Medicine management and adminstration
  • Managing finances and bills
  • Navigating Government Departments
  • Building confidence and developing friendships through participation in social and  recreational activities
  • Regulate emotions when things become overwhelming

There are various categories under Capacity Building Supports and the budget allocated cannot be moved from one support category to another.
