Amani Care, registered with NDIS, provides assistance with daily personal activities for individuals with disability who require a high level of support. Our services are  designed to enhance a participants’ capabilities to engage with daily life and community activities. The support required is provided by staff with additional qualifications and experience relevant to the participant’s complex needs. A participant’s needs are identified in their NDIS plan.

assISTANCE WITH DAILY PERSONAL ACTIVITIES - high intensity

We provide a range of high intensity daily personal support for people who require more complex support needed to manage their daily lives. This assistance provided usually requires a higher degree of skills and training, including qualified nurses and allied health professionals. The level of assistance required is contained in a Participant’s NDIS Support Plan.

  • Complex bowel care
  • Enteral feeding and management
  • Urinary catheter management
  • Ventilation management
  • Complex wound management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • High risk of seizure
  • Diabetes management support -including implementing diabetes management plan and regular injections
  • Nutrition support – including mealtime preparation and delivery
  • Pressure care and wound management
  • Subcutaneous injections
  • Stoma care
  • Severe dysphagia management

What type of assistance with personal activities does the ndis fund?

Help with high intensity daily personal activities is available to NDIS participants who have more complex needs. It is in the category of Core Supports. The aim is to help NDIS participants to continue living as independently as possible by providing the support they need.

Funding under the NDIS is usually provided if the participant needs a higher level of assistance or supervision in daily personal activities. The level of assistance needed will be identified in the NDIS plan. In addition, the plan is reviewed regularly to ensure that the supports provided align with the particpant’s evolving needs and goals.
