Amani Care are a  Registered NDIS Provider. We deliver an extensive range of care services with our highly qualified and skilled staff. We have a specialisation in mental health nursing, high intensity community nursing and palliative care. Our focus is on caring for people in their own home.


You know we will be there when you need us with our 24/7 support. Our holistic approach means that we will meet your unique needs by using a diverse range of approaches that is guided by evidence based practice.


We’re based in Pakenham and provide our services not only to the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne but also

 to the South Gippsland, Baw Baw, Wellington and Latrobe City Shires. This includes the towns of  Leongatha, Warragul, Traralgon, Morwell, Mirboo North and Sale.

Mental health nursing

We support individuals with an array of mental health issues with the aim of improving quality of life including:

Our highly experienced and professional team have the capacity to optimally support individuals by:

  • Improving the quality of life and regain capacity to participate meaningfully in person/social goals
  • Monitoring mental state, support compliance with treatment plan/medication and follow-up with the Treating Team
  • Provision of accommodation options
  • Support with maintaining sobriety
  • Providing psychological support around building non-pharmacologic coping strategies, developing hobbies and interests
  • Re-establishing relationships with family members

High Intensity Community Nursing

Amani Care assist where clinical nursing support is needed. Our team of accredited professional nurses have experience in delivering complex care for a range of medical issues, including for NDIS participants. We are available 24/7 so you know you we will be there when needed

Our overall aim is to help individual’s lead a life that is as independent and healthy as possible. We do this by managing existing conditions, as well as helping to prevent illness and promote a healthy lifestyle. We are there when you need us. This includes short-term, longer term or overnight care.

Some of high intensity community nursing services we provide include care after a hospital stay, general nursing care, wound management, complex bowel care management, urinary catheter management and enteral feeding.

Palliative care

Palliative Care is the treatment, care and support for a person with a life limiting illness. This can include NDIS Participants. Importantly, palliative care can extend to include support for family, friends and carers.

At Amani Care the goal is to make sure you get the appropriate level of care needed to live your life well. This includes connecting you to high quality allied health services. Examples includes physiotherapists, psychologists, massage and aromatherapy to improve quality of life.

We are available 24/7 so you know you we will be there when needed.

Some of the care services we provide include pain management, assistance with medication, assistanc ewith personal tasks such as washing and dressing, as well as respite care to give your family.

assistance with daily personal activities

Amani Care provides both assistance and / or supervision for a variety of personal activities. This includes for NDIS Participants.  Where care is provided in the disabled person’s home, the aim is to help them to continue living as independently as possible.  

Assistance with Daily Personal Activities we provide include:

  • eating and drinking
  • assistance with mobility – eg transferring out of bed
  • toileting, bowel. bladder and menstrual care
  • attending appointments – including medical appointments
  • personal hygiene, including showering, oral hygiene and dressing
  • assistance with the use of aids and appliances – including hearing and communication devices

assistance with daily personal activities - high intensity

High Intensity support is provided when a Participant has more complex needs. This assistance provided usually requires a higher degree of  skills and training. The level of assistance required is contained in a Participant’s NDIS Support Plan.

Assistance with High Intensity Daily Personal Activities we provide include:

  • Complex bowel care
  • Enteral feeding and management
  • Urinary catheter management
  • Ventilation management
  • Complex wound management
  • High risk of seizure
  • Pressure care and wound management
  • Stoma care

Household and Domestic Support

We provide household and domestic support for people with disability that prevents or restricts the household tasks they can do. It means people with disability can remain living independently in their own home.

Some of the domestic tasks we provide assistance with include:

  • Meals and Cooking
  • Grocery shopping
  • Mopping, dusting and vacuuming
  • Wiping down benchtops
  • Dish washing and drying
  • Laundry washing, drying and ironing
  • Bed linen changing
  • General home maintenance
  • Tidy up of  garden
  • Mow lawn
  • Treating weeds
  • Clear footpaths

Housing and Accommodation

At Amani Care we believe everyone deserves to live in a home they feel safe, secure and be able to do the things they enjoy. Because of this we provide supported independent living options where 24/7 support is provided, with our home in the Melbourne outer Eastern suburb of Clyde North.

We also provide short term accommodation (also called respite care) for up to 28 days within a year, as well as medium term accommodation of up to 90 days within a year.

We are proud to have a team of highly qualified and competent support workers who provide 24/7 care using a model of care that is based on evidence based practice.

NDIS Positive behaviour Support

We use Positive Behaviour Support Plans to assist in improving a participant’s behaviour. The plan and support we provide starts with understanding any challenging behaviour – which is often complex. Behavioural issues can impact learning, development, relationships as well as the overall safety of the individual and those they interact with.

Challenging behaviour can take many forms and can include physical and verbal aggression towards others, damaging property and self injury. 

The Positive Behaviour Support plan is developed using  evidence-based research so that the treatment can focus on where the patient needs it the most.


Social and community participation

We understand social and community participation is important. That’s why we provide the support needed to participate in the activities you are interested in. The types of support we provide  includes transport to the activity, as well as support while the activity is being undertaken. We can also assist in developing skills to enable participation in activities.

Some of the many activities participants can take part in include:

  • Going shopping
  • Attending sporting events
  • Visiting a park
  • Learning new craft
  • Visiting a cafe
  • Riding for the Disabled
  • Visiting friends and family

Support Coordination

We can help you get the most out of your NDIS plan and connect you with the services you need as well as navigating through the often complex NDIS system.

At Amani Care we take the time to support you to understand your NDIS plan and how you can make the best use of your funds to achieve what is important to you.

The support coordination that we provide includes:

  • Find, assess and connect you with supports and services
  • Negotiate services and their prices
  • Budget for each support type
  • Resolve issues, problems and conflicts with your providers as they arise
  • Making sure services are provided in accordance with your needs and preferences, as well as achieving your goals
  • Consider any new goals you may have
  • Visit you to discuss support coordination of your plan

Development of Life Skills

Amani Care assist individuals to have more control over the life they lead by helping them gain more independence and be more involved in the community.

The first step is to take the time to understand goals of the participant. From this a plan is developed for the assistance needed for the individual to gain the skills needed. These skills are aimed at increasing independence, confidence as well as self-esteem.
